Qualification Framework
CIMA studies focus on developing four categories of abilities needed for businesses of today, including technical, business, people, and leadership. Course Structure
The CIMA® qualification comprises the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting (Cert. BA) and the CIMA Professional. The Certificate in Business Administration comprises four subjects on foundational knowledge in business. There are three levels of study at the CIMA professional, which are operational, management, and strategic level.
CIMA 100% Exam Track
Professional Level
- Dual awards: ACMA & CGMA.
- 3 levels: Operational, Management & Strategic.
- Focus on training accounting & finance specialists in the business.
- Each level comprises three competencies subjects and one case study.
- 90 minutes objective-oriented exams for each competencies subject.
- 3 hours of written assessment for each case study exam.

Certificate Level

CGMA Finance Leadership Program (FLP) Track
A simplified track to study CIMA Professional level
The CGMA Finance Leadership Program (FLP) is an innovation by the CIMA to bring professional accounting learning at the ease of students’ pace via its comprehensive platform of digital learning and assessment. Under the CGMA FLP, you could master the subjects via online learning and take online assessments at your own pace. The FLP track moves towards minimum examinations and adding on assessments via quizzes. There would be only 3 case study exams for the CIMA Professional level, and no exams for the remaining 9 competency subjects. So you can study whenever you want, wherever you are, and in any order you desire. CIMA supports case study exams taken by students in person at an assessment centre or remotely online, making the FLP a truly digital educational experience.
Same Syllabus – Different Assessment Methods
The CGMA FLP track is based on exactly the same syllabus as the CIMA® Professional qualification. You may gain CIMA® Professional qualification via TWO routes:
(1) follow the CIMA 100% EXAM Track, you need to pass 12 exams, OR;
(2) follow the CGMA FLP Track, you need to pass 3 case study examinations, and the rest 9 competency subjects are based on self-assessment quizzes.
